On 17th August 2021 the Government notified the rates for export incentive scheme RoDTEP and its rules with an aim to boost exports. 

 The New Export Incentive Scheme – RoDTEP was announced by the Government of India on 1st January, 2021. This Scheme replaces the existing Merchandise Export Incentive Scheme (MEIS). All shipments post  1st January, 2021 are eligible for this incentive.

 RoDTEP is an export promotion scheme announced by the Ministry of Shipping, Government of India that replaces the Merchant Exports Incentive Scheme (MEIS) and Rebate of State and Central Levies and Taxes (RoSCTL).  

 The Scheme envisages reimbursement of 27  elements of Direct & Indirect Taxes which are currently not reimbursed to the exporters and hence become part of their Export Price.
