Financial Modeling Benefits

Project Viability-

Financial Models help in decision making and business modeling for firms and check the viability of projects. You can learn techniques to value and analyze Firms, IPOs and FPOs. Investments in nascent stages can be valued with accuracy for eg. Private Equity/ Venture Capital Investing.

Financial Projections & Estimations-

It is a prerequisite for Investment Banking, Equity Research and Commercial Banking jobs as project appraisal and risk evaluation using different scenarios can be calculated. A comprehensive analysis of complex transaction like Mergers and Acquisition Deals can also be done.

NOTE: Prior understanding of spreadsheets and Excel is not a pre-requisite and the program would start with the basics of spreadsheet modeling.

The course primarily covers Project Finance Viability Models, loan amortisation techniques.

It will outline the contemporary Financial Modeling approaches available to managers by using EXCEL spreadsheets.

The aim of this workshop is to provide managers and executives with practical understanding of the way financial models can be prepared for their business objectives.

Methodology

The content will be delivered in an easy-to-understand way, and the participants will be able to develop financial models on their own. Corporate case studies and practical applications will be an integral part of the discussions. The program will be delivered in an open and interactive manner.

The course is suitable for those in both the private and public sectors from small and medium sized enterprises to multinational corporations. It is designed for all those who are not necessarily in the finance department but are affected by the finances’ at work. It will enable the participants to go back to their workplace and have a greater ability to prepare and analyse numbers. Dr. Anil Menon

Dr. Menon has more than 17 years of experience in the field of  Financial Services & Investment Banking. His academic qualifications  include Bachelors in Production Engineering from Mumbai University, Master of Management Studies (MMS) from Jamnalal Bajaj Institute of  Management Studies and doctorate in Mergers and Acquisitio ns.

His tenure as Assistant Vice President at SBI Capital Markets Ltd.,  a premier investment bank in India, has equipped him with necessary  investment banking competencies.

He is a senior consultant at SME  Value Advisors, a firm dedicated to professionally assisting small &  medium enterprises to scale new heights.

He is also closely associated with Family Managed Business (FMB) program at the prestigious S. P. Jain Institute of Management and Research, Mumbai. He is known for his skills on Business Finance, Financial Modelling and Valuations and is a regular faculty at Princeton Academy.
