Supply Chain, Procurement & Global Trade
Train the teams that move your goods — and your documents
FEMA, letters of credit, DGFT & ICEGATE, customs documentation, FTAs and export incentives on the trade side; procurement, vendor management and inventory on the operations side. Practitioner workshops for the teams where one wrong document costs real money.
Trade operations run on documents that carry legal and financial weight — a letter of credit read wrongly, a shipping bill filed late, a FEMA timeline missed, an FTA benefit never claimed. Most training providers don’t touch this work. The academies teach individuals to “start exporting”; your EXIM desk, banks’ trade teams and CHA partners need something else entirely: current, procedural, practitioner-taught training on the systems and rules as they operate today.
That is this practice. Princeton Academy runs India’s operational trade-compliance workshops — DGFT and ICEGATE as portals, not concepts — alongside procurement and supply-chain programmes for the teams that buy, store and move.
Two tracks
Global trade compliance, and supply-chain excellence
Global Trade & EXIM compliance
The document-and-portal layer of international trade: FEMA and RBI’s EDPMS/IDPMS, letters of credit & bank guarantees, DGFT & ICEGATE, customs procedure & documentation and FTAs & export incentives.
Procurement & supply chain
The buying-and-moving layer: strategic procurement & vendor management, purchase negotiation, inventory management, SOPs that survive audits, and logistics & shipping.

Why Princeton Academy
Procedural, current, and built for company teams
- For teams, not aspiring exporters — programmes built for the EXIM desks, finance teams and CHA partners who already do this work daily.
- Procedural depth — portals, documents and timelines as they operate this quarter, taught by practitioners who clear shipments and close entries.
- Kept current — FEMA, FTA and customs programmes revised as RBI, DGFT and CBIC notify changes.
- Both sides of the trade — the compliance layer and the procurement/logistics layer from one partner, so the whole chain speaks one language.
- Transparent pricing — published fees on open programmes; clear per-batch quotes for in-company delivery.
- Since 1997 — in-company across India, or open batches in Mumbai, Delhi, Bangalore and Chennai.
Selling to the government? Our Mastering GeM Tender Bidding workshop trains manufacturer sales teams to win on the Government e-Marketplace — a corporate programme no one else runs.
Questions
Frequently asked
Who should attend the trade-compliance programmes?
The people who touch the documents: EXIM executives and managers, accounts staff handling export realisation and import payments, logistics coordinators, and partner CHAs or forwarders. Banks’ trade desks attend the LC and FEMA programmes too. No prior “course” is assumed — working familiarity with your own shipments is enough.
Are these theory sessions or hands-on?
Hands-on and procedural. The DGFT/ICEGATE programme works in the portals; the LC workshop reads real (sanitised) credits and finds the discrepancies; customs sessions walk actual document sets. Participants bring their own cases where confidentiality allows — those make the best material.
Can one workshop cover our mixed team — finance, EXIM and logistics together?
Yes, and it’s often the most valuable format: the FEMA and documentation programmes are designed so finance and operations hear the same rules together, which is where most internal misfires between the two teams end.
How current is the material on FTAs and incentive schemes?
Programmes are revised as notifications land — new FTAs, scheme changes and portal updates are folded in before each batch. If a change affects material you were trained on, ask us: refresher half-days for past participants are a standard offering.
